Deborah Alexander and Lisa Furnival formed Alex Furn Simply Gorgeous Jewellery in November 2007. Lisa and Deb both are living in Cheshire and have a passion for fashion and accessorising. They started experimenting and creating unique pieces of Jewellery using Semi-Precious Stones, Silver and Pearls for themselves and friends.

Many months were spent researching the right materials which would be required to make that perfect item of Jewellery. Silver Beads and Semi-Precious stones such as Aventurine and Fresh Sea Water Pearls were sourced from Indonesia, rare and unique Pearls and Silver from India as well as many different colours, shapes and sizes of Crystal from Switzerland. Hallmarking was obtained for the silver and professional polishing achieved by a local silversmith. Collaborating with a Jeweller and Silversmith the final touch was achieved making the finish of the bracelets and necklaces perfect, the result, being Simply Gorgeous Jewellery.

Our Trade Mark our Name? Both Lisa and Deb wanted to create a business name that was simple and catchy but easy to remember. After much deliberation the idea of using the first four letters of our surname appealed to us, Alex Furn. Working with a graphic Designer our Trademark of Silver Flowers was created. This can be seen on our Business Cards and on the small Silver Embossed Flower, which is attached to all our items of Jewellery.

Finally, the products; the idea behind the business was to produce two ranges of Jewellery per year Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. The Jewellery Collection comprises of individually designed bracelets and necklaces using different colours in Crystals and Pearls mixed with Silver, giving each piece an individual and unique look.
